Well, I just wrote a letter of complaint and also asking that the personal Name be made optional to the leader of the party that holds the Senate seat on my electorate.
How many others who also object to this have done so ?
In over 100 years the parliament, the people and the ABS have always interpreted the Census and Statistics Act as it was intended - to collect statistical information that could be enumerated, not personal identity information.
All previous democratic attempts to add personal identity information to the Census have failed in landslide rejection, but this time the ABS has on its own decided to force it on to the populace.
Privacy of our personal information is a fundamental right in this country.
