I think you read the same reviews that I did about the lens, Trevor. It is a fine solid lens (that has survived a 1.5mt drop as well). And I was worried, as you say about the quality control issue. I have been lucky with both my Samyang/Rokinon 135mm and 12mm fisheye and have not had to return them. I love the lens! One day I hope to attach it to a CCD camera and see how it fares! Cheers!
