I've already got the firewire PCMCIA card for my laptop, and that comes with a cable that should get power from the USB port, but the cable isn't long enough and doesn't bloody well reach the USB port. 
It's possible i'll need to get one of those powered hubs... do you have a link to one so I can see what it looks like and where to get it from? |
