Pity. I was afraid this could happen. When I played with it the build was a bit out of date: not based on the most recent Ubuntu and other packages not up to date. I stayed with my MATE build (I prefer the desktop to Unity) and added the packages I wanted. Consequently I don't have the nightvision mode for the whole UI but this isn't an issue as mine isn't an observatory scope.
