As Alfred E Neuman used to say "What, me worry?". People have been preparing for the end of civilisation since i was a boy. I had an uncle who built a bomb shelter under his corn field because he was convinced that once the Yanks and Ruskis started chucking warheads at each other one was bound to fall in Alberta. He is long gone but that shelter is still there, probably used as a 'root cellar' now, and that is not what your thinking, it would be used to store root crops, like carrots, potatoes, turnips, etc. I hear that people have been turning old Minuteman missle silos into homes in South Dakota, hope they realise that their home location is probably still in a targeting computer somewhere.
