Helix nebula NGC7293

This was a test of my new cooled Canon 450D (details are here). Cold finger was installed but there was no cooling attached to it. The finger actually provided quite a nice passive cooling, ambient was 10C, cold finger/sensor at 16C while exif data showed 21C. Noise levels were much less than on my uncooled 1200D on the same night.

Anyway, here are the details:
46 lights @ISO1600, 180s each, 2h 18min total
16 darks, 20 flats

Stacked with DSS and then processed with StarTools (still haven't bought it so I took a screenshot again).

The cooling is assembled now and being tested on my desk. Unfortunately it will be cloudy for the next few days
