so a couple of things on this. in the computer Bios settings you can set the computer to boot up when the power is turned on. this is particularly important because if you have a power outage then as soon as the power comes on it will boot up again. So, if you have that set up you can power the computer remotely with the iP power switch, you can manage the switch remotely through a browser without the computer being turned on. Having said that, for me, i just have the computer on permanently.
