Hmmm, late again!
Well very nice work Eric. I think the soft setting is better because the sharp setting seems to have applied unsharp masking to the image which mutilates the star images a bit. A better approach might be to image with the soft setting and sharpen the nebulosity with a highpass layer mask. That is my opinion, you might not agree.
