You're right Chris. The download is only available as a beta version and there's an expiry date of the 31 July 2016.
The software seems to work fine indoors. I guess I'll just have to wait for a break in the clouds before I can test it for real.
If you're worried about bugs in the beta version you can keep V2.8 installed.
