You're right. The camera axis wasn't 100% aligned with the grating; also my slit was n't 100% aligned. That's what you learn when you try to calibrate a "reference" source.
I've since managed to get the slit and camera fixed.... look forward to the next results. BTW it took some 12 images with the MX7c to record the whole length of the spectrum with a 1200 line per mm grating.
