I decided to utilise some of my data taken on this field back in early 2011 using the big FLI 16803 chip.
Even though it is the same scope, the latest data is much higher resolution than the old data because my site is much better now (Newcastle skies were poor seeing all the time compard to Canberra) and my image scale is twice as fine with the current Starlightxpress camera. So blending the two data sets in a natural way was indeed quite tricky and while I improved my processing on my 2011 data I also had to sacrifice a little of the latest data resolution in order to keep the blend looking natural.
