i agree with steve -if you don't already have a landline the setup & ongoing rental costs may outweigh benefits. check if you can get nbn wireless, we have that as well as mobiles [you can also rig a normal phone to the nun connection]
do you know what coverage is like i your area? where i am telstra is the only god option -so we use aldi mobile sin, cheaper than telstra plan but still good coverage
