The image is OK too Smooth and a lovely balance of colour! Surprised you haven't thrown a bit more contrast at it though (?) 10 min subs?
<sigh> I can only dream of getting all data in one night! I'm working on my very first NB image right now - 10 hours and counting and probably need 10 more.

Cheers Marcus

This image just seemed to need to be displayed at full res, just looked better, probably because it is so subtle and tenuous? That's the benefit if 12" and F3.8 mate (yes 10min subs), single night multi filter compositions are indeed achievable. The best renditions I have seen of this nebula tend to be the more subtle ones, those that show the transparency of the nebulosity, so I guess I was shooting for that look. I did try applying more contrast and high pass filtering but I didn't like the look...I'll have another look tonight though, thanks for the feedback

Cheers Col, hey my FOV is great for many objects, just this one was pushing the ideal framing a bit, yours is perfect for this neb I recon. Glad you like the colours, while a small number of emission nebs have almost none of one of the emissions present, to me 3 filter NB images need to show three distinct colours within in the blend, if they are there
