After doing some more research today, I'm wondering what the differences are between a DIY homemade allsky camera and an established fireball network system, like the Desert Fireball Network, SETI cams, SkySentinel, etc. Are any of you guys part of these networks? Is it possible to build a system as sophisticated as theirs? What are the software differences between these?
Lots of questions, I know. But I'm deciding on whether I want to go the DIY route or have a camera supplied to me by one of these programs...
