I understand what you mean. There is little processing on this - I did a background neutralisation and white balance, then stretched. Nothing was done selectively or on any particular channel to modify that blue. So I think the white balance is ok, it's just that bright star.

I recall Rogelio Bernal Andreo saying once that he gets similar comments on his brighter blue stars, and he put it down to a property of the filters or something. If I recall correctly, he uses the same Astrodons as I do.

I was a bit torn while processing. I know that stars are supposed to be pastel sort of colours, and all but one star in this image are (to my eyes). On the other hand, I like the effect that came out, the bright beacon versus the cluster. Kind of balances in my mind.

Thanks mate. Camera is my trusty old QSI583ws, scope was TMB92SS with Orion Flattener.
