Here is a 3 minute 29 seconds video of the night sky I built from various time lapse sequences recorded during two Sutherland Astronomical Society Inc. star parties in 2014. Although the You Tube version makes for pleasant viewing, the original 1920 x 1280 pixel version reveals more subtle features including the air glow signatures of atmospheric gravity waves. When one uploads a video to You Tube or Vimeo, these web sites apply additional video compression which can reject information recorded at low SNR.
