Well, you never can tell when an image comes together and is a winner. Perhaps in six months from now I will review this image with a fresh mind and decide it was OK after all. Thanks for your positive comments.

I quickly used the plate solver script in PI to analyse one of the linear images used to construct the final colour image. These are the numbers it returned, which seem about right according to my printed star atlas.
