Laptop is W10. I have bought two USB to serial connectors. One was pretty much rubbish so I bought a different brand. I have the connector working on COM3. Setup in Stellarium is all good, selected COM3, selected Synscan V3 and up. Selected run at start-up and saved the settings.
There is no telescope reticle, even though Stellarium tells me that it is connected. Re-check the config, all good. Exit, and re-start, still nothing. The handset is not in PC-Direct mode, the alignment is successful. I have tried alternate drivers for the connector, each one tells me that the connection is good. Open to suggestions.
The connector. Uses the winchiphead driver, latest version now according to driver updater. Interestingly, the com port switched to com5 after the updater installed a new driver. Yet to test again.
