Look at what just arrived!!

Well after a few days of waiting, a package turned up today from Auburn in California which some may know as the town where Stellarvue are based. Inside is a nice shiny new Stellarvue SVR102T-IS refractor!!

This is a 4" apo refractor and is the upgraded version with a dedicated 0.8 reducer flattener and the 3" Feathertouch focuser. Has a carbon graphite body, comes in a very well made padded case, nice chunky tube rings. Only weighs in at 6.6kgs so should ride quite happily on the AZ/EQ mount.

Visually it is a beautiful thing to look at, all shiny and new. Should make an interesting visual scope apart from having the option of doing some good stuff on the imaging side of things. I have a motorised focus system on its way to get it properly setup for imaging.

Naturally, it's arrival coincides with the crappy weather.
