Thanks Bill,you are describing exactly what happens on my EQ5 but I am not convinced yet of either the source of the problem or that the problem is limited to just one button.
Tasco are now aware of my problems and I will wait a while to see how the issue progresses or if I can narrow it down before taking further action. Seems like this problem has been around for a while and present in other versions of the Synscan(is in V2 and V3) based on info from industry contacts and I can't fathom why it isn't fixed in such an expensive bit of kit.
Not convinced it is a mechanical issue in the mount itself
