I just wanted to add some independent comments about this mirror.
I have observed with this scope on quite a few occasions, most recently at Coonabarabran earlier this month. I have used a lot of large aperture telescopes over a lot of years. As part of our 3RF scope kit and the privately owned scopes amongst the 3RF volunteers we have a 14" SDM, a 16" SDM, 4 x 18" Obsessions, an 18" Obsession Ultracompact, 2 x 20" Obsessions, 2 x 25" Obsessions and a 30" SDM. I have also used countless large aperture scopes at several overseas star parties up to Larry Mitchell's 36" Obsession. I have used telescopes with mirrors from most of the world's most renowned mirror makers for the amateur astronomy market, past and present. These include, Mark Suchting, Carl Zambuto, Mike Lockwood, Steve Kennedy, John Hall (Pegasus), Bob Royce, Vaughan Parsons (Intermountain Optics), Alika Herring, Alan Raycraft, John Hudek (Galaxy Optics), Jerry Wilkinson (Galaxy Optics), Terry Ostahowski and James Mulherin (OMI).
The 20"/F5 OMI mirror in the Mary Rose is one of the absolute very best large aperture telescope mirrors I have ever used.
Those interested can buy it with confidence that it is an absolutely cracking mirror.
