@DavidTrap It depends on how one uses the FB page. If one uses it to seek out experienced pickers, get advice and learn lots more before venturing out, then it can help avoid disaster.
One of the most dangerous things is to just grab a guide book with photos and descriptions (or print off such things from say a FB page) and go picking without taking along someone who knows what they're doing.
