Thanks for the kind words Tim, Geoff, Nikolas, Rick, Greg, Mike and h0ughy!
Greg, thank you for a straight up critique. I added DSLR acquired Ha data separate to my normal work flow - need to work on that one. I also have separate Ha for Rho/Zeta Ophiuchus that I haven't applied yet, so good to get feedback.
Oh, the salmon dance! - Is it true that hydrogen beta (cyan) exists at a proportion 1:3 to most hydrogen alpha emissions for most nebulae? That's why Hb filters are rarely used. From that, would it would make sense that Ha emission nebulae are not pure red? - more pastel pink. It is something that I have shifted from bold red - but not sure where it should sit. I do agree that it isn't quite right.
There is a load of brown nebulae (from the loop to the blob esp) and even the witches' head is a bit slack in this mosaic. Have the data there, just need to stretch it more and dial back the Ha a bit (actually clipping some parts of the Barnard's loop :/). A slide with the magenta/green colour balancemay help.
I was really lucky with the stars - a thin veil of cirro-stratus cloud rolled through and hung around, so too advantage of that - like a fog filter, but smoother!
