I am currently waiting on an Orion eyepiece from Bintel which has to come in from overseas - I rang yesterday and was told that they will not (or did not) get it in the current shipment, it is now hopefully due in the next shipment, approx 2nd week in July.
I have no problem with the wait - and I acknowledge that they are busy with preparing for the move to the new premises - and the item is only just "due" now and I had phoned them very quickly, but I did have to ring to find out it was delayed. I know they had my email address so I thought I could have been advised of the delay that way, for no additional cost to them. As said previously as long as we as customers are kept informed I for one don't usually mind waiting. I want to stress that all previous dealings with Bintel have been spot on, fast processing of orders and delivery, etc.
I would like to mention that when I purchased my 10" dob it was ordered by phone with Andrew's slightly before lunchtime one day, and it had arrived on my doorstep just after lunch, approx 26 hours later, and that was interstate to the Sunshine Coast (technically a regional area) and not Brisbane - VERY impressive delivery speed! Congrats guys.
