iPad web browsing problem

Some time ago I was given an iPad Air2 as a gift. It has worked flawlessly until quite recently when a problem has arisen that means that I cannot use it at home to browse the internet to view my favourite astro-related websites. The problem is that immediately after I ask the iPad's Safari to go to any website a redirect automatically intervenes and after quickly passing through a number of intervening URLs (as seen in the address bar) I end up at a web page that tells me that I have won something and invites me to click on a link (example image attached) – which, of course, I never do. I cannot use Safari to exit or delete the page and the only way back from there is to use the Safari settings to “Clear History and Website Data”. It makes no difference which search engine is selected for Sarari (Google, Bing, etc.) the result is always the same. Nor does downloading and using Firefox make any difference.

The problem does not arise when using the Apple store's wifi. Yesterday, after a couple of days of trouble shooting, Apple replaced the iPad with a new one but the problem still occurs at home even with that new unit.

Attached is a diagram of my home setup from which you can see that I have two Windows PCs in addition to the iPad. One PC is linked by cable to the modem and the other PC is linked to the modem wirelessly via the same router that I use with the iPad. On neither PC do I have this web browsing problem. It only occurs with the iPad. Because the problem does not occur with the PCs my ISP denies any responsibility.

Any suggestions as to the underlying cause of the problem and/or how to fix it would be most gratefully received.
