Hi Aidan. I have always enjoyed observing and after I brought my 12" dob a few years ago, I had my 10" dob sitting in my back observatory not doing much and this gave me the opportunity. In 2015, I did a heap of research and looked at what I was getting into and spent 11 months designing and building a mount to suit and then modifying the 10" dob. During all this, my dear wife knew someone who was selling a DSLR. A trip to Bintel for a few bits and pieces and then a new learning curve, (and will continue for a while!), has began. I guess I take a bit longer to evolve but it has been worth the wait.
