Thanks Rodney. Those narrow threads are part of the Vela SNR. I have in the last couple of months been imaging around the SNR. It's an incredibly interesting part of the sky with many interesting areas in the field. So far I have imaged Gum 15, Gum 17 and now Gum 23. The SNR itself is a vast complex worthy of imaging multiple sections. I think the combination of palettes works well in this instance.
