Comet Linear 22 March. Look Mum no tracking
This is the first image I have posted on Ice In Space. I have put it up to show what can be done without a tracking mount. Also it fits between the close up and wide field views already posted.
Taken, morning of 22 March from suburban Hobart with 50 mm Ziess Planar at F2.5 on a Canon 40D, ISO 1000, stack of 8 x 20 sec exposures, with darks, and bias. Processed with DeepSkyStacker, linear stretch, plus some fiddling with luminescence, saturation etc .... Plus extra saturation, brightness change in Paint, and to resize and convert to gif
