I like the color image but - the Luminance image is really great! Sometimes its a bit tricky to get good colors. Most of the time i do it like Rick suggested: denoise the RGB and get everything out of it. I add the Luminance in three steps - 33%, 66% and 100% and increase the color between every step. Maby this helps a little bit.
