Well, I have gone to the Aluminium fabricators and got a rough price on a tube. $300 ish. The addons ie ideas that dave wants, but may not work:
- detachable into 4 sections for transport
- detachable peltier cooling system
- large alt bearing for dob driver or mel bartels or servo cat etc
- variable mirror cell to take 10" to 14" mirrors
I am dropping off my scope less mirror next tueday for them to look at to see if there are any other ideas they may have. Whats the bet when the great seeing will be next week?
Anyway, I have until next year Jupiter opposition to get this right!
