As Ive been taking more Ha images of late and tried playing with settings in IRIS, it still seems the best method is to remove the blue and green channels in Photoshop, leaving only the red (which then looks greyscale). The way I see it, theres minimal signal on the other 2 channels anyway, yet would still be some noise, so removing them seems best. For objects that have bright parts, I play with the gamma settings in IRIS first before going to Photoshop. Its all a bit of trial and error.
