Morton I think I'll give it a shot, though I won't be taking a scope. The $64 question is whether the sea breeze will kick in - it did yesterday and lasted well into the evening.
At present here in Killara (1pm) its OK, not much smoke but fairly calm.
There are four fires this afternoon - Belrose, East Lindfield, Cherrybrook and Allambie (Manly reservoir).
