I have wondered about them, but there is no way to lock the mirror in place so mirror flop is still possible.
I put a featertouch on my C925 and it is a big improvement on the standard focusser. Have a look on their website, they have a sales page for cosmetic seconds which mine is but I can not find a blemish of any sort. Maybe the anodising is not the right colour.
