Better option is to get Backyard EOS ands use it to control the camera from your laptop. The images then can be saved direct onto your computer so no fiddling around changing cards. It only costs US$50 and has a lot of other advantages. (focusing assistance, allows you to record image info in the files name, image preview among others)
I think it has an option to also save images to a card if you want a backup.
