How bad or obstructed is your horizon ?
Mine is pretty bad to the east and north but that is CBD and associated light glow.
Otherwise anything below about 30* is a waste of time anyway due to almospheric distortion. You soon get used to accounting for your visual obstructions without an aid but if you want to do it I'd be just checking anything above the 30* AZ line and not getting too pedantic about it all.
