The loud explosion sound and seismic detection can be easily explained by a sonic boom from the bolide. A meteorite wouldnt make an explosion sound neccassarily, as it hit the earth, if large enough it would create a sonic boom first anyway. It could of disintegrated at an altitude 40 - 70 klm above the earth and still seem close.
I would like to see more impact details too, be surprised if they come, pretty rare thing really.
