Well, I cleaned the corrector plate and secondary of the 8 inch Celestron Classic and tweaked the secondary adjustment and it came up very nicely - beautiful diffraction rings. The simple drive works well, so I figured it is worth more to me that the few hundred dollars I just might possibly get.

Same with the Russian lens which is set up with 90 degree diagonal, only there at X140 odd, the diffraction rings are a bit messy. Impeccable flat field low power stuff though.

So I have withdrawn these two items from sale.

Now as far as the 16" setup goes, I don't expect much and I have worked out a simple way everything can be disassembled and removed. The 'Cave' brand was renowned for their good optics, and here you have two of them, a 16 inch F6 and a 10 inch F6. (The third one, a 6 inch F5 was sourced elsewhere many years ago and is of very good quality optically as well.)
