It is a LX200GPS.
The motor wires go up the driven arm and the GPS is on the other one.
The GPS wires are just individual insulated conductors the same as the motor wires, there wasn't a pair for the data.
It's just low speed and a short length inside the arm so even a few bits of wet string would be ok.
If the GPS arm screws were removed the arm could be rotated completely out of the way.
I only wanted to release the tube and then tighten the arm so a partial unscrewing was ok.
The instructions are good and don't need to be changed.
I just thought that others might need to know that -
1) It's easy to do.
2) Get a long shafted allen key for the rear bolts.
