Ok, paint bucket removed and Voila !
Looks a bit rough on top but I've since scraped off a lot of the rough edges and broken the sharp corners. Next is to make a spacer on the lathe to go down over the internal pull down threaded rod at the bottom of the hole. Then tighten it down and finish it off. Should be firm enough by next weekend to load the mount and scope back on.
I'll also mount a bracket at North side to manage all the cables.
And it's a lovely clear night so I'm going to drag the big DOB out for a bit of visual.
