Scarf joint 8 times as long as the thickness glued with fibrefilled epoxy resin.
Joint is stronger than the wood.
Sadly the plans didn't detail the layout well so the planks are all cut on the same side so the opposite ends of the planks are the opposite sides of the ply. Giving a harlequin effect. So it looks like the name of the boat is set !!!!!
