I suppose the $150AU price difference might tempt someone to buy when they were previously priced out of the market with the Delos line.

I think these eyepieces are a niche product for Tele Vue. They won't appeal to some people because 62° AFOV seems narrow by today's standards. But they may appeal to (in no particular order):
  1. Binoviewer observers
  2. Owners of small scopes where a Delos/Ethos would be too heavy
  3. People who can't afford a Delos/Ethos
  4. Planetary observers
  5. The army of existing Tele Vue owners who just can't resist the latest model
I think this is why they're bring them out slowly, to see how popular they are. Although clearly a lot of people on CN want to see something below 5mm for planetary use.
