Little red light for under AUD$6

Ok so it's not a breakthrough advance in technology....
but it's useful and cheap.

I was sick of my torch blinding me for half and hour and needed a small
torch that could be placed on things without rolling away.

so for the price of a large cuppa in Sydney...

1 x 4xAAA switched battery holder from jaycar
1 x 4500mcd red LED from same
1x 100ohm resistor i had lying around....
batteries were also surplus...

There is enough room in the holder to put the resistor,
and if you drill the holes small enough, and bend the legs of the LED
this is all the mount strength you are likely to need.
might superglue the base of the LED one day.

I like the simplicity....and the fact that it will sit in the
eyepiece tray pointing downwards.
