80mm f/15 refractor

Another item that didn't get as much use as expected - so out it goes (if anybody wants it). This is a classic Meade 80mm f/15 guidescope. This is old enough to be from when Meade imported quality Japanese gear. The objective is in a fully collimatable cell - you don't find that on Chinese refractors these days. Optically it produces excellent images; a clean perfect looking Airy Disc.

What let it down originally was that it only took 0.965-inch eyepieces and the focuser had a very long extension tube so that the whole thing was a little more compact. I've replaced this with the back end of a more modern refractor with a plastic focuser with 1.25-inch eyepiece holder. The focuser works adequately, and the whole telesope performs well.

It has some adequate rings with it, with nylon tipped clamp screws.

It is from an age when f/15 was the norm, but these days unusual. If anybody wants it then please contact me and make me an offer. I don't expect to get many offers - if at all - so you may get a bargain.
