Jupiter December 29th 2015

Hi all

I've attached a few images of Jupiter taken this morning with a C14 @ about 7500mm FL and an ASI120MM camera. Data was stacked with Autostakkert2! and derotated with WinJupos for the RGB pic.

Time was centered around 5:07amLT for the RGB, 5:05am for the Red image, & 5:18 for the IR. Approximately 1500 frames/channel.

At Jupiter's low 44 degree altitude, the smear in the red channel is about 0.25", but in the blue its a whopping 0.85" because of atmospheric dispersion. No wonder the blue channel looks bad!
Eagerly awaiting a new ZWO ADC to counteract the effect...

Best wishes

Maurice
