The Gemini GMOS field is rather ugly because there are 3 CCDs with gaps between them. This doesn't bother the professionals but it makes it more difficult to get a pretty picture so my first posting of this image cropped the gaps out. Since then I've been trying to edit out the gaps as much as possible and have succeeded to some degree so this posting is much closer to the full field. Another thing I didn't notice initially is that this exposure seems to have faintly recorded the halo around this planetary. This isn't bad for only a one hour total exposure but it is a big scope.
