my observatory is located just outside of Berry and you can easily see the milky way when it is up. unfortunately as any reader of Woman's weekly can tell you, December is Sagittarius month, meaning the sun is in the middle of the milky way. wait till winter and take a short drive south west to a camping site (during a new moon) and you should be good.
