Got a Compaq Contura 486 laptop from c1994 that is still in weekly use at work - its only job is to provide a serial interface to a CNC machine.
Its a hostile environment - they get dropped, covered in dust, swarf and oil, dirty keys and high temperatures - in the last week internal temperatures have been over 40C
Thought about replacing it many times - but it just keeps working !
