Winter Constellations from Sirius to M45

Here’s one of my favorite areas of the sky, the winter constellations from Sirius to the Pleiades.

This area includes mighty Orion, the Hunter, and Taurus, the Bull.

Giant red emission nebulae, the birthplace of stars, dominate the region and are part of the Orion Molecular Cloud.

The image was shot with a 16mm wide-angle lens on a modified Canon T3i tracking the Sky on an iOptron SkyTracker with three hours of total exposure.
