LOL. In my defence, though M42 was the first object I imaged 3 years or so ago when I took up imaging. I've resisted the temptation and this is the first time I've been back to it (or next to it in this shot!) since. I've missed it!!
My son was less than impressed by my geekiness in observing that NGC 1977 was appropriate to image in the same week the new Star Wars movie comes out, as the first one was released in 1977.
