I'm just wondering whether any of you out here have any suggestions for best observing locations near Hobart from where there is a reasonably dark sky. Last night I drove south of Kettering to near Middleton/Gordon and got some good observing from a seashore off the Channel Highway before it clouded over. I am looking for another location with a good northern horizon perhaps north of the city.
